Moment of Joy
At the Iwakuni City Tourism Exchange Center, you can sample Iwakuni’s local cuisine and specialties for a fee. Especially popular is the tasting of Iwakuni-zushi, a local dish of Iwakuni. Iwakuni-zushi is pressed sushi made from rice harvested in Iwakuni, mixed with vegetables such as lotus root and small fish. At the Iwakuni City Tourism Exchange Center, Honke Matsugane, you can try a bite-sized piece of Iwakuni-zushi. The armor experience is also popular with tourists, who wear armor and take pictures in front of the Nishiki Kintai Bridge.
